Meet the Doctor
Dr. Janice J. Wilmot
"I love being an orthodontist and seeing the changes both in a patient's smile and in their self-esteem. I enjoy working with children, teens and adults and that I get to know each of my patients and become a part of their lives. I truly feel blessed to be in the dental profession, and feel that I not only give patients a great smile and bite, but they also are taught how to care for their teeth and oral health for a lifetime. The practice logo "Where Smiles Blossom" really captures the change orthodontic treatment provides, and I know that was true for me when I had a severe Bugs Bunny overbite and was extremely self-conscious of my smile. Orthodontics is a blend of science and art that I find intellectually challenging and rewarding."
Prior to opening her private practice, Dr. Wilmot was on the faculty at the University of Michigan in the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, serving as the co-director of the Dentofacial Program (orthognathic surgery patients) and co-director of the Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Anomalies Team, as well as seeing private patients in the faculty clinic. After moving back to Atlanta, she continued working at the Emory Clinic with the oral surgery residents and faculty.

Dr. Wilmot opened her private practice in Lilburn in 1997 and has enjoyed becoming active in the community and supporting various school and community groups. Dr. Wilmot and her husband, Dr. George Wilmot, are the proud parents of two sons. She is active in her church, plays ALTA tennis, loves to read, travel and spend time with her family.
